About Steve
Steve Friess is the conservative outsider Wyoming needs in Congress. A successful businessman, devoted family man, and lifelong advocate for freedom, limited government, and traditional values, Steve has spent decades putting his time, energy, and resources into the causes that matter most to Wyoming families, from backing President Trump to being an early supporter of Turning Point USA alongside his father, to defending election integrity and fighting for school choice.
He moved to Wyoming nearly thirty years ago, was baptized in the Shoshone River, met his wife Polly, raised four children here, and calls the Cowboy State home. Steve isn’t running for a title; he’s running to make a real difference.
“U.S. House candidate Steve Friess received 19 endorsements Thursday by Republican lawmakers, former legislators, energy industry leaders and Gov. Jim Geringer. Chuck Gray called them “a tired class of political 1% insiders” who support “woke wind projects.”

Lubnau writes, “Chuck Gray’s approach to politics is akin to a yapping Chihuahua, making lots of noise and getting headlines, but getting little done. Most concerning is Gray dumping all of Wyoming voters’ election data to an agency of the federal government whose use is unrestricted.”

“Gambling sites PolyMarket And Kalshi both favor Steve Friess to win the Republican nomination for U.S. House and Eric Barlow to win the GOP nomination for governor. Bettors, so far, have wagered $210,000 on these two Wyoming races.”

“Friess has criss-crossed Wyoming, leaning on decades of connections that he’s built in the state and in the country from his time as a funder of some of the GOP’s biggest organizations and from the lessons he learned in working to create a Christian school in Wyoming.”
August 8th 2026 | Washington Reporter
“Friess says he’s running for office because he believes Wyoming needs new leadership. He describes himself as a political outsider focused on supporting the state’s energy industry.”
July 15th 2026 | Oil City News
“Friess pointed to his decades of support for conservative causes, including early funding for Turning Point USA and work with groups like Tea Party Patriots and True the Vote. He pledged to work with the president to secure the southern border, reduce federal regulations and support Wyoming’s energy and ranching industries.”
